[Mountain rescue presentation]TROOP B PRESENTS MOUNTAIN RESCUE WITH A NEW STRETCHER - May 2005
Troop B have been fundraising a lot this year, and part of the proceeds of this have been passed on to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO), based in North Wales. We are corporate members of their support group "333" and on our recent visit to Snowdonia the Team were very pleased to receive a cheque for £750 from us which has been used to buy a brand new rescue stretcher, seen (in use!) in the photo on the right.

This story features on the OVMRO website, and was also picked up by the BBC. Well done everyone! We will continue to support OVMRO at future fundraising events, so watch this space.

[Strawberries & Cream]OATLANDS VILLAGE FAIR NETS OVER £600 FOR TROOP B - May 2005
We raised over £600 at the recent Oatlands Village Fayre, and achieved some mighty good PR at the same time. Thanks to all the parents who co-ordinated our face painting, X-Box challenge, play your cards right, strawberries & cream, sweet stall and more! Excellent work that raised important funds. One of the most successful stalls there we are reliably informed.

[Bag packing]BAG PACK FUNDRAISER - April 2005
Another storming few days bag-packing resulted in Troop B raising in excess of £3000 for ourselves and Ogwen Valley Mountian Rescue. Well done everybody who pitched in!

Thanks also to Sainsbury's in Walton for letting us invade their store - it's appreciated.

We will be back at the tills later this year - so watch out!
SUMMER CAMP 2005 LAUNCHED
Troop B is busy preparing for this year's summer adventures in North Wales. However, we have also launched our plans for 2005 - we're off to Canada! Further details can be found on the Summer Camps page.
[Scout on a hovercraft]HOVERCRAFTING OPPORTUNITIES
Thanks to a unique relationship with the Hovercrafting Club of Great Britain (HCGB) we are now able to offer Troop B members opportunities to try out this exciting sport as well as help with running and marshalling professional events. The first event was in September 2003 - click here for more!
